Shotgun Hybrids start appearing in the second half of the MedSci Deck, and will continue to be found for the next several Decks. You can occasionally find Prisms or containers of Iridium. After destroying one, you should search its chassis for salvageable equipment. Security Bots first appear on the Operations and Recreation Decks. They are designed to defend high security areas. These Hybrids differ from Pipe Hybrids both due to their ranged weaponry and doubled Hit Points. Security Robots are way better armed than the Maintenance Robots, with a built-in laser cannon. Hybrids are humans who have been infected by the parasitic annelids, and mutated into monsters in service of the Many.
The Shotgun Hybrid is the second type of Hybrid faced in System Shock 2.
